The Rooster 8.1 -  The BIG RIG is coming soon!  Really soon - sort of!

Dec/Jan Update
I was over at Rooster UK HQ before Christmas and can confirm the mast extenders are now in production- a box of 25 was there before my eyes.  Final pricing will be worked out shortly now that exchange rates seemed to have settled down and quotes for freight are received.  Target date is end of March for the first 25 rigs for North America.

September Update
The first batch of extenders has been producted and are being tested by Rooster UK.  It does not look like I will get one before the ice starts to form up here so its going to be next year before I get one of my own.

In meantime, subject to a successful test of the extender, we will try to have a rig available in the US for clubs to try out in their frostbite series.   Further update after the Masters Worlds in Spain.

We expect pricing to be around the same as the UK pricing.  250 GPB for the sail and battens.  Say $500 to $550 USD is a rough estimate for now. All subject to exchange rates, delivery costs, duties, taxes and the world continuing to rotate on its axis.
